Protected area: Extends 30 meters east, south, and north from the center point of the tomb mound, and 50 meters west.

Huang An (674–756), courtesy name Zongji, style name Kuijie, was the son of the early Tang hermit Huang Chong and the eleventh-generation direct descendant of Huang Yuanfang (courtesy name Yanfeng), the founding ancestor who migrated to Fujian. Huang Yuanfang was among the Eight Surnames of Nobles who moved to Fujian, having accompanied Emperor Yuan of Jin during the southern migration, eventually settling in Huang Alley, Houguan (present-day South Huang Alley near East Street in Fuzhou). He was also the 101st-generation descendant of the Yellow Emperor.

In the Xianli year of the Tang Dynasty, he passed the imperial examination with excellence in both literary talent and virtue, and held official positions including Scholar of the Hanlin History Office, Prefect of Xuzhou, and later rose to become Governor of Guizhou in Guangxi.
