Yao Island Shrine is a cultural relic protection unit of Putian City.

Yao Island Shrine is located in Houdu Neighborhood Committee, Handed Subdistrict, Hanjiang District, and is classified as an ancient building.

Yao Island Shrine is a municipal-level cultural relic protection unit of Putian City.

Protected area: east to the inner side of the green belt along Hubin Road, west 2 meters beyond the back wall of Wuzi Shrine, south to the drainage ditch along the outer wall of the building, and north 2 meters beyond the outer wall of the building.

Handed Subdistrict: Handed Subdistrict is located in the southern part of Hanjiang District, Putian City, Fujian Province, covering the eastern half of the urban area of Hanjiang. It borders Sanjiangkou to the east, Huanxi Subdistrict to the west, Bai’tang Town across the sea to the south, and Guohuan Town to the north. It is also the seat of the district Party committee and government. The subdistrict covers an area of 4.25 square kilometers, with a total population of approximately 43,000. It administers 10 communities. Fujian Expressway passes through the area.
