Tashan Scenic Area, located in Tashan Village, Xincai Town, Lieshan District, Huaibei City, is a renowned soft-seed pomegranate production base and lies just one mountain away from Suzhou’s Wuliu Scenic Area. The Tashan Scenic Area boasts tens of thousands of pomegranate trees. From the edge of the village, pomegranate trees can be seen everywhere—in front of houses, behind them, along ditches, and by the roadsides. Tashan has a long history of pomegranate cultivation dating back to the Ming and Qing dynasties, with 700 acres of ancient pomegranate orchards from that period still in existence, offering a strong sense of historical charm. Every June, the fiery red pomegranate blossoms blanket the mountains, giving the green hills a fresh and vibrant look and attracting large numbers of visitors to admire the flowers. In addition, the Tashan Scenic Area features attractions such as Canjing Well, the Donkey Rolling Spot, and the Zhang Guolao Practice Cave.
