The Zhaoji Second-Level Water Lift Station is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Anhui Province.

The Zhaoji Second-Level Water Lift Station is located 200 meters west of Zhaoji Community, Gu Rao Town, Lie Shan District, with the Ten-Li Long Hill to its east. Construction began in 1976 and was completed in 1977. The station stretches from east to west and features a series of upper and lower stone arches forming two levels of water diversion flumes, built with carved stones and cement. These extend over 1,000 meters. The main structure consists of a first-level lift flume, a water storage pool, a second-level lift flume, a mountain-crossing flume, and a second-level lift engine room, among other components. The two elevated flume sections total 1,015 meters in length. The highest point above ground reaches 15 meters, with a width of 1.4 meters. There are 170 stone arches in various sizes, including those with spans of 10 meters, 5 meters, and 3 meters, as well as multiple stacked apertures on both levels. Among them, there are 26 large arches with a span of 10 meters — a rare sight in the water conservancy projects and even bridge-building history of Huaibei City and nearby counties at that time. The station still retains intact slogans such as “Work hard with full vigor, strive to be in the vanguard, build socialism with greater, faster, better, and more economical results,” along with a pattern of the Dong Fang Hong tractor.

The Zhaoji Second-Level Water Lift Station is a culturally significant site discovered during the third national cultural relics survey. It is a product of the “Learn from Dazhai in Agriculture” movement, bearing distinct characteristics of its era and reflecting the wisdom of the Chinese people in transforming nature.
