The Tomb of Ma Yuan is a cultural tourism attraction.

【Tomb of Ma Yuan】 is located about 1 kilometer southwest of Xiangcheng, covering an area of approximately 2 mu. It is situated within the apple orchard of Qugou Village, Vegetable Township, Xiangshan District. To the east lies a phosphate fertilizer plant, to the west are vegetable fields in Qugou, and it borders the Qugou Alcohol Factory to the north and south. The earthen mound on the surface of the tomb was leveled during the “Cultural Revolution.” Surface relics include rope-patterned tiles and mother-and-son bricks. Ma Yuan was a native of Maoling, Shaanxi, a Han Dynasty General Who Calms the Waves. He died on military campaign, and the reason for his burial here remains to be investigated. The combined texts of the Commentary on the Water Classic • Sui River state: “The Sui River flows east past Stone Horse Pavilion (west of which lies the tomb of the Han Dynasty’s late General Who Calms the Waves). The Sui River then flows east past the old site of Xiang County, the capital of Duke Gong of the Southern Song.”
