Soong Ching Ling Bohai Children's World is located on the east side of Xingang Ship Lock Road in Tanggu District. Established in 1988 and sponsored by the Soong Ching Ling Foundation, it was thus named. The area boasts beautiful scenery and unique architecture, serving as a large-scale amusement venue that combines learning, entertainment, and daily life.

The play and amusement facilities in the Children's World are divided into indoor and outdoor sections, mainly including the Palace of Wisdom, Undersea Adventure, Game Rooms, and Play Zones. The Palace of Wisdom houses two museums—History and Nature—which showcase China’s long history and abundant resources through models, specimens, pictures, real objects, and videos. The “Simulated Undersea Adventure” allows visitors to board a simulated submarine and explore the “Undersea Maze,” observing various marine plants and animals via TV screens. The Game Room on the second floor features arcade machines, health balls, and electric toys. The outdoor Play Zone includes sightseeing cars, Happy Wheels, Caterpillar Trains, Spinning Bees, bumper cars, as well as water activities such as pedal boats, bumper boats, and swimming. Additionally, there are five small villas designed with architectural styles representing the Tibetan, Miao, Dai, Korean, and Gaoshan ethnic groups, offering both accommodation and a chance to experience ethnic culture.

Soong Ching Ling (1893–1981) was the Honorary President of the People's Republic of China. A modern female revolutionary and one of the founders of the PRC. Her ancestral home was in Gulu Garden Village, Changsa Town. She was born on January 27, 1893, in Shanghai. In her early years, she studied at McTyeire School for Girls in Shanghai, and in 1908, she went to Wesleyan College in Macon, Georgia, USA, run by the Methodist Episcopal Church. She graduated in 1913 with a bachelor's degree. In the same year, after returning to China, she began her revolutionary career as Secretary to Dr. Sun Yat-sen.
