On August 16, 2019, the 6th China Automobile (RV) Camping Conference grandly opened in Binhai New Area, Tianjin. Characterized by an integrated "land and sea" experience, the conference was co-hosted by the Federation of Automobile and Motorcycle Sports of China, Tianjin Municipal Bureau of Sports, Tianjin Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, People's Government of Binhai New Area, Tianjin Dongjiang Bonded Port Area Management Committee, and Tianjin Port (Group) Co., Ltd.

Leading officials including Cao Xiaohong, Vice Mayor of Tianjin Municipal People's Government, Peng Weiyong, Deputy Director of the Economic Department of the General Administration of Sport of China, and Zhan Guojun, Party Committee Secretary and Chairman of the Federation of Automobile and Motorcycle Sports of China, attended the opening ceremony. Representatives from sports, culture, and tourism departments of 31 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities across the country, industry enterprise representatives, association representatives, and over 100 mainstream media were also invited. The event site was filled with enthusiasm. The series of activities officially kicked off on the 16th and will continue until August 18, spanning three days.

The 6th China Automobile (RV) Camping Conference Comes to Tianjin

The China Automobile (RV) Camping Conference is one of the most professional, authoritative, and industry-guiding brands of automobile and RV camping conferences in China. The first five editions were successfully held in Badaling, Beijing; Damaoqi, Baotou, Inner Mongolia; Songzi·Shui, Hubei; Guiping, Guangxi; and Wuhu, Anhui, receiving unanimous praise from the industry. The 6th edition marks the first time the conference moves from mountain valleys to the blue sea and sky, landing in Tianjin.

This conference aims to comprehensively showcase the development achievements of the leisure industry in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and the RV camping tourism industry chain, promote the transformation of Tianjin’s tourism from "sightseeing tourism" to "all-for-one tourism," and support the construction of a prosperous, livable, smart, and modern coastal city. The hosting site, Dongjiang Bonded Port Area, is one of the five major development zones in Binhai New Area, as well as the core area of the Tianjin Free Trade Pilot Zone, the only national import trade promotion and innovation demonstration zone in northern China, and the largest parallel imported car port in the country. Especially with financing leasing as its core leading industry, it has significant global influence and has now become the world's second-largest aircraft leasing hub.

The opening ceremony began with a review of highlights from previous camping conferences, with representatives from past host locations witnessing Tianjin taking over the 6th edition. Yang Maorong, Deputy Secretary-General of Tianjin Municipal People's Government and District Chief of Binhai New Area, Li Kemin, Party Committee Secretary and Director of Tianjin Municipal Bureau of Sports, and Zhan Guojun, Party Committee Secretary and Chairman of the Federation of Automobile and Motorcycle Sports of China, delivered speeches respectively. This was followed by the release of the "2019 Automotive Self-Drive Sports Camp Industry Development Report" and the awarding ceremony for automotive self-drive sports camps. During the ceremony, representatives of 28 automotive sports self-drive camps, 11 five-star camps, and 7 four-star camps received their plaques on stage. In the closing segment, leaders and guests jointly witnessed the official launch of the camping conference at the inauguration ceremony.

The "2019 Automotive Self-Drive Sports Camp Industry Development Report" Officially Released

At the opening ceremony of this camping conference, the contents of the "2019 Automotive Self-Drive Sports Camp Industry Development Report" were officially released to the public.

The full report details the current state of the automotive self-drive sports camp industry from multiple aspects, including the distribution of nationwide automotive self-drive sports camps, the impact of integrating leisure sports programs with camps, the consumption habits of campers, as well as relevant policies, supply data, consumption analysis, current standards, and industry perspectives of automotive self-drive sports camps. It also promotes camp industry policies and shares front-end camp data.

Number of Automotive Self-Drive Sports Camps and Star-Rated Camps Exceeds 600

As an indispensable part of the conference opening ceremony, the awarding of national automotive self-drive sports camps and star-rated camps attracted significant industry attention. At the ceremony, representatives of 28 national automotive self-drive sports camps and 18 star-rated camps received their plaques. It is reported that this year saw enthusiastic applications from campsites across the country. After careful and rigorous evaluation by the assessment committee, 135 new automotive self-drive sports camps were established in 2019, bringing the total number of national automotive self-drive sports camps to 620. This signifies that the construction of campsites nationwide is moving towards standardized, regulated, and refined development.
