The Tianjin World Expo Huaming Pavilion is a national AAA-level tourist attraction and a patriotic education base.

A national AAA-level tourist attraction. In 2008, the Huaming Demonstration Town stood out from 108 projects across 87 cities worldwide and was selected as the only case reflecting rural urbanization to successfully participate in the 2010 Shanghai World Expo. The Huaming Pavilion, as part of the Urban Best Practices Area, demonstrated Huaming’s small-town construction model to the world.

The new pavilion covers an area of approximately 1,789.67 square meters. Utilizing modern technologies such as sound, light, and electricity, it employs various presentation methods including graphic displays, model exhibits, computer simulations, and film interactives to comprehensively promote and showcase the history of the Huaming Demonstration Town. Since the implementation of the residential land-for-housing pilot reform, the pavilion highlights the tremendous achievements in the town’s construction and the remarkable changes in its urban landscape. It also presents the unique urban character of the Huaming Demonstration Town, its rich cultural and natural landscapes, as well as its ambitious development blueprint.

Huaming Subdistrict: Located in Huaming Town, Dongli District, between the city center and the “Tianjin Binhai New Area,” it covers a total area of 150.6 square kilometers, about one-third of Dongli District. The town administers 15 natural villages with a permanent population of over 50,000. Huaming Town enjoys a superior geographical location, convenient transportation, and a pleasant surrounding environment. It connects eastward to the “Tianjin Binhai New Area,” borders the city center of Tianjin to the west, faces the “Tianjin Binhai International Airport” to the south, and links northward to the three northeastern provinces.
