On the morning of April 29, the one-year countdown launch ceremony for the "Welcome the World Horticultural Expo, Visit Tangshan" 2016 Tangshan World Horticultural Exposition was grandly held at the Zitian'e Manor International Hotel in Nanhu Caofeidian.
At the opening ceremony, Cao Zhengping, Deputy Secretary of the Tangshan Municipal Committee, and Gao Guoming, Discipline Inspector of the Hebei Provincial Tourism Bureau, delivered speeches respectively. Yuan Limin, Director of the Changping District Tourism Commission of Beijing, Bian Shilin, Director of the Dongli District Tourism Bureau of Tianjin, and Xing Jinglin, Director of the Tangshan Municipal Tourism Bureau, exchanged three regional tourism gift packages. Cao Zhengping, Deputy Secretary of the Tangshan Municipal Committee, Gao Guoming, Discipline Inspector of the Hebei Provincial Tourism Bureau, Cao Jinhua, Vice Chairman of the Tangshan Municipal People's Congress, Li Guozhong, Vice Mayor of the Tangshan Municipal People's Government, and Su Chunsheng, Vice Chairman of the Tangshan Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, jointly touched the launch ball, marking the official start of the one-year countdown to the 2016 Tangshan World Horticultural Exposition.
This event was hosted by the Tangshan Municipal People's Government and organized by the Tangshan Municipal Tourism Bureau and the Executive Office of the Tangshan World Horticultural Exposition. Relevant leaders from the Tangshan Municipal Party Committee, the Municipal People's Congress, the Municipal People's Government, the Municipal CPPCC, and the Hebei Provincial Tourism Bureau attended the launch ceremony. More than 200 participants were present, including leaders from the Changping District Tourism Commission of Beijing, the Dongli District Tourism Bureau of Tianjin, tourism bureaus from various cities and prefectures within the province, tourism bureaus from counties (cities) and districts, as well as representatives from major travel agencies and tourist attractions in Changping, Dongli, and Tangshan, along with media representatives.
