Tianjin Port is China’s largest artificial port and the gateway to Tianjin and Beijing. Since the reform and opening-up, Tianjin Port has undergone tremendous changes, developing rapidly with each passing day, and has become a major national port for China’s foreign trade. It trades with over 300 ports in more than 170 countries and regions, operating more than 70 regular shipping routes. When taking a boat tour of the Bohai Bay, you can not only witness the bustling activity of Tianjin Port but also enjoy the vast sea scenery. On a lucky day, you might even catch the rising red sun over the sea or the glowing afterglow of the setting sun.

The Tianjin Port Science Education Base utilizes the port’s equipment, facilities, docks, waterways, ships, and port operation processes as educational resources. It has acquired specialized vessels and opened tourist cruise routes from the Haihe River estuary to the anchorage area, open to visitors all year round. Additionally, to better showcase the development history of Tianjin Port and promote its achievements in reform and opening-up, science and education-driven growth, and independent innovation, a Tianjin Port Expo Hall with a construction area of 26,000 square meters has been built. Moreover, training bases and science workshops have been established, while various grassroots units have procured science education equipment and materials to provide training and education to employees.

In recent years, Tianjin Port has organized various science education activities for its employees, including science lectures, consulting services, professional training, science exhibitions, and the distribution of informational materials. Externally, it receives a large number of foreign dignitaries, international friends, as well as delegations from party and government agencies and mass organizations across China’s provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions every year.
