Ancient Lagoon Wetland

The Dagang Ancient Lagoon Wetland Nature Reserve covers a total area of 400 square kilometers, distributed across the Dagang Reservoir, Guan'gang Forest Park, Qianquan Reservoir, Shajingzi Reservoir, Li'erwan Reservoir, and coastal tidal flat areas. The Dagang Ancient Lagoon Wetland is an important habitat along the migratory route of birds, where over 100 species of birds have been identified, including more than ten types that are either globally endangered or under national key protection—such as the whooper swan, white crane, black-necked crane, sea duck, and great bustard—some of which have formed large wintering flocks here. A national-level Ancient Lagoon Wetland Nature Reserve has now been established.
