Zoucun Site

The Zoucun Site is a cultural heritage protection unit of Ma'anshan.

Zoucun Site: Located in Zoucun Natural Village, Xincun Administrative Village, Xinxing Town, Bowang District. It dates back to the Shang and Zhou dynasties.

On June 5, 2015, the Zoucun Site was designated as part of the fifth batch of municipal-level cultural heritage protection units in Ma'anshan.

Protection zone: 5 meters outside the site itself; construction control zone: 10 meters outside the site itself.

Xinxing Town: Xinxing is a key town in the eastern part of Dangtu County, Ma'anshan, adjacent to Nanjing, Wuhu, and Ma'anshan. It lies north of Hengshan Mountain and south of Danyang Lake. Provincial Highway 314 runs through the area, with waterways directly connecting to the Yangtze River. It is 30 kilometers from Nanjing Lukou International Airport, boasting convenient land and water transportation. As a vital route from southeastern Anhui to Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai, the town covers a total area of 74.8 square kilometers, with a population of over 40,000, and 1,860 hectares of arable land.
