Ma'anshan Santai Pavilion is a cultural relic protection unit of Ma'anshan City.

Santai Pavilion is a historic riverside pavilion on the Yangtze River, originally built during the Chongzhen era of the Ming Dynasty and later destroyed in war. It was reconstructed in the late 20th century. The rebuilt pavilion stands five stories tall, approximately 30 meters high, with a square structure, glazed roof tiles, upturned eaves, and an imposing grandeur.

From Santai Pavilion, visitors can look south to the majestic Tianmen Gorge, west to the surging river, east to the ancient town of Caishi, and north to the scenery of Jiuhua Mountain. Santai Pavilion has become a new highlight of the Caishiyan Scenic Area and even Ma'anshan City.

Santai Pavilion, now meticulously reconstructed by the people of Ma'anshan, surpasses its former glory. Perched high above, overlooking the vast landscape, it offers a deeper understanding of the mighty Yangtze River than most other places. Observe the silent river flowing beneath our feet—through centuries of war and empire, prosperity and poverty, beauty and disaster—who could have imagined that what it has ultimately carved into the earth is the poetic soul hidden deep within a great nation’s character?

Santai Pavilion is the highest point of Caishi Rock, which itself marks the convergence of the mighty Yangtze River. The scenery from this pavilion unfolds before visitors’ eyes, needing no description; the history of this rock has been immortalized in countless inscribed stelae and couplets.

Caishi Street: Located seven kilometers southwest of downtown Ma'anshan, Caishi Street lies east of the Ningwu Railway, west along the Yangtze River, south bordering Jiashan Township and Luchang Village, and north adjacent to Jiashan Township and Jiuhua Village. It mainly consists of seven roads: Tianmen Avenue, Tangxian Street, Yifeng Road, Zhongshi Street, Hengjiang Street, Jiuhua Street, and Taiping Street. The area covers approximately 2.5 square kilometers, with a total population of 10,216 residents in 3,636 households, 97 residential buildings, 1,476 single-story courtyards, 2 community committees, and 47 resident groups.
