The Ma'anshan Urban and Rural Planning Exhibition Hall is a patriotic education base.

Established in 2003, the new building of the Ma'anshan Urban and Rural Planning Exhibition Hall was completed and opened to the public free of charge in March 2011. It is a local detailed planning exhibition hall that showcases the comprehensive overview of Ma'anshan and its future development plans. The total construction area of the exhibition hall is 5,500 square meters, of which the exhibition space covers 4,400 square meters, divided into three floors. The first floor displays comprehensive urban content, mainly featuring six exhibition halls including Urban Footprints, Urban Scenery, and the Evolution of Urban Planning. The second floor focuses on the overall master plan, highlighting key buildings and major urban designs. The third floor emphasizes Ma'anshan’s “1255” urban development strategy and the full-map view of the new Ma'anshan area. The overall spatial design integrates architectural elements, regional culture, and spatial art, reflecting the city's identity as an ecological mountain-water metropolis. The core exhibition area of the planning hall is a large-scale model of the entire Ma'anshan region, built at a 1:1300 scale. The model pool covers nearly 700 square meters, and behind it is a 91-square-meter LED screen that plays a 10-minute promotional video to enhance visitors’ understanding of the model.
