The Former Site of the Red Fourth District Soviet Government (Chen Clan Ancestral Hall) is located in Yuanfan Village, Beizhong Town, Taihu County, dating back to the Qing Dynasty.

On September 22, 2017, the Former Site of the Red Fourth District Soviet Government (Chen Clan Ancestral Hall) was designated as part of the seventh batch of municipal-level cultural heritage protection units in Anqing City.

Beizhong Town: Situated at the southern foot of the Dabie Mountains and at the junction of four counties across Anhui and Hubei provinces, Beizhong Town is traversed by Provincial Highway 211 and connected by county roads to Yuexi, Yingshan, and Qichun counties. It boasts convenient transportation and serves as a hub for cross-border trade, logistics, commerce, and information flow between Anhui and Hubei. Covering a total area of 182 square kilometers, the town administers 18 administrative villages and has a population of 40,000. The town’s Party Committee oversees 42 branches, one education general branch, 10 rural general branches, and has 1,263 Party members.
