Last updated 2026-11-08 — From September 22 to October 7, a 16-day family tourism festival titled “Dreams Come True·Mystic Moon in Western Hunan” will be held in Furong Town. The event is centered around the millennia-old town of Furong—hanging over a waterfall—and features several surrounding distinctive scenic spots, allowing you to truly experience the charm of Western Hunan. ...

In recent years, Taihu Bay Tourist Resort has been carefully planning the “marriage” between sports and tourism resources, exploring the path toward becoming a “sports leisure town.” Leveraging its natural landscape and influential sporting events, the resort actively promotes the integration of sports leisure activities with tourism. By introducing new projects, enriching content, and consolidating nearby tourism resources, it has vigorously developed a comprehensive “sports+” model encompassing fitness, entertainment, and leisure, achieving cross-industry integration of sports and tourism.

Taihu Bay Camping Valley is one of the outcomes of this model. With a planned area of nearly 700 acres and an investment of hundreds of millions of yuan, it will become a groundbreaking cross-sector tourism project in Wujin Taihu Bay Tourist Resort that heralds a new era of camping.

Taihu Bay Camping Valley is an outdoor leisure destination integrating eco-camping, adventure training, eco-recreation, and rural fun experiences. It boasts rich natural vegetation, expansive sunny lawns, and is equipped with a five-star standard RV base, tent hotels, eco cabins, distinctive mushroom houses, as well as hundreds of camping tents. With complete living facilities, it can meet all the needs of camping visitors.

Once completed, the project will become the largest and most comprehensively equipped adventure training base in East China, covering various formats such as adult, youth, children, and fun adventure training. Aside from camping accommodations, stepping out of RVs or tents, visitors can also enjoy a variety of unique eco-tourism activities, including treetop glass walkways, grass sliding fields, and jungle expeditions, getting close to nature and experiencing the true beauty of Taihu Bay. Farming experiences like tea picking, tofu grinding, and rice cake making allow visitors to feel the tranquility of “picking chrysanthemums beneath the eastern hedge, gazing leisurely at the southern mountains.” Evening bonfire parties, stage light shows, and park performances offer campers a distinctive nightlife. Dining and shopping options abound, with farm-style meals, open-fire stoves, barbecues, and more to satisfy diverse palates.

Currently, the development of campsites in China is still in its early stages. Due to factors such as a lack of market demand research and unclear positioning, products and activities tend to be relatively uniform, with poor adaptability to seasonal changes; they are more sightseeing-oriented and less participatory, with limited route designs and fewer choices. Amid severe homogenization among campsites, Taihu Bay Camping Valley surpasses the “Yangtze River Delta RV Camping Standardized Demonstration Campsite” in terms of investment scale, business mix, product functionality, as well as theme uniqueness and recreational design.

Taihu Bay Camping Valley is already a resort-style product portfolio, with strong nearby attractions such as the Filial Piety Park and Xixi Valley. Centered around a diverse range of camping products and supplemented by outdoor adventures, eco-recreation, and rural fun experiences, the valley integrates surrounding camping resources to create a lightweight resort cluster primarily focused on “camping” as the main leisure activity. It aims to meet all outdoor leisure and vacation needs in one stop. By adopting an industrial-scale approach, it maximizes the potential of “Camping+.” Rather than just being a scenic spot, it breaks out of the camping niche to offer a one-stop outdoor leisure and camping resort, uniquely pioneering the concept of “Camping+X, one theme, N experiences,” ushering in a super “Camping+” new era.
