2018 Fun Discovery: Qiandao Lake Outdoor Theme Event to Kick Off on September 26

      From September 26 to 29, 2018, the Qiandao Lake tourism destination in Zhejiang will hold the "Fun Discovery・Qiandao Lake" outdoor theme event. The early autumn weather is cool, making it the perfect time for outdoor activities. In this lovely season, you can engage in green, low-carbon, leisurely, and fitness-focused outdoor sports while admiring the beautiful scenery of Qiandao Lake.

　　On September 26, three professional outdoor KOLs, six travel influencers, two short video creators, and ten outdoor enthusiasts will gather in Qiandao Lake, where a series of exciting activities await them. On the afternoon of the 26th, the first stop of the event will kick off at Qiandao Lake Automobile & Motorcycle Town, featuring thrilling mountain karting. In the evening, they will stay at the Yushan Front Homestay in Qiandao Lake. On the morning of the 27th, participants will experience kayaking at the Zhulangzhe Base Pier, riding the kayaks and getting up close with the waters of Qiandao Lake. In the afternoon, they will head to the Qiandao Lake Grand Canyon for a stream tracing adventure, immersing themselves in the area’s pristine natural surroundings. They will stay at the Wenyuan Shicheng Art Inn that evening. On the 28th, they will go to Guocun to take part in an orienteering competition in the ancient village, followed by a hill-climbing race along the She Ling Ancient Trail. They will spend the night at the Fisherman’s Home Homestay. On the 29th, participants will challenge the high altitude of 1,450 meters by summiting Jinzijian Peak.

Qiandao Lake Automobile & Motorcycle Town

Qiandao Lake Grand Canyon Stream Tracing

　　The Qiandao Lake Grand Canyon features steep cliffs, mountain streams and waterfalls, river beaches, as well as karst caves. Ancient Village Orienteering + She Ling Ancient Trail Hill Climb Race

　　An outdoor orienteering competition will be held in Guocun: multiple checkpoints (including games like charades, poetry challenges, and math puzzles) are set up throughout the village. Participants will compete in team-based races, then set off in staggered intervals toward the She Ling Ancient Trail (approximately a 20-minute drive). Upon reaching the foot of Yesi Village, teams will begin their ascent. The first team to reach the summit wins. This activity combines orienteering with trail hiking, and participating KOLs and travelers must complete checkpoint tasks and short video challenges to earn rewards.

Summiting Jinzijian Peak

　　Jinzijian Peak is located at the border between Zuokou and Wangfu townships, standing at an elevation of 1,450.8 meters. It is the highest peak of the Yuling Range within Chun’an County and is covered with pine trees, earning it the nickname “Huangshan of Western Zhejiang.” During this event, participants will conquer the summit of Jinzijian Peak. The round-trip hike takes about seven hours and is a true test of physical endurance.

　　It is reported that the professional outdoor KOLs participating in this event include Tie Gai (the “Beggar Gang Leader”), Youlan Valley 51, and Winepocket Guoguo AK. All three have extensive outdoor adventure experience, excellent photography and videography skills, strong writing abilities, and large followings on Weibo, giving them significant influence in the industry. The travel influencers taking part are Coco Hu Bo, Xiao Liu Jing’er, Youzou Travel Photographer, True Eagle V, Beibao Bei GO, and Yi Duo ZSN. These six influencers have rich offline experience, contribute to mainstream travel magazines, receive high readership on self-media platforms, and boast millions of Weibo followers. The short video creators include Freya_Fangfang and sosay_is_Dani, both known for their striking looks and popularity, as well as extensive filming experience. Freya_Fangfang was the lead actress in the first outstanding work at the 2016 China Golden Rooster and Hundred Flowers Film Festival and has appeared as a guest actor in TV dramas such as “No Woman Is Too Strong When the Sky Is Falling” and “Painful Seventeen.” sosay_is_Dani has participated in recordings for the show “Famous in Thailand” and the variety show “Flash Mob: Here Come the Female Drivers.” In addition, there are ten outdoor enthusiasts from across the country who signed up for the event.
