During the National Day holiday, these two six-day music festivals—featuring 13 stages and over 300 Chinese and international bands/artists—will bring musical feasts to fans from all over China along the Yangtze River and Taihu Lake. Aside from the stellar lineup on stage, there are also plenty of fun onsite activities you won’t want to miss. Let’s take a look together.

Infiniti, the title sponsor and the official sole automotive partner of the 2014 Yangtze River MIDI Music Festival, supports MIDI’s public welfare concept of “Reduce Honking,” and together with the organizers has invited Escape Plan and Reflector to perform on the Tang Stage under the Infiniti name. At the ESQ display area, you can experience the thrill and charm of Tattoo firsthand, try your hand at silk-screen printing a festival-exclusive ESQ eco-friendly bag, or participate in a variety of engaging interactive games such as Air Guitar via Weibo and WeChat to win attractive prizes.

With a history of over 60 years and headquartered in Germany, Sennheiser is the world’s leading audio equipment manufacturer. As the designated audio partner and the naming sponsor of the Song Stage for the 2014 MIDI Music Festivals, Sennheiser continues to provide professional sound systems and technical support for the Yangtze River MIDI. Sennheiser has also set up an eye-catching inflatable headphone tent onsite where audiences can not only experience Sennheiser’s high-quality headphones but also join various fun interactive games to win gifts. The “Yuan Stage” at the Yangtze River MIDI will be transformed into something new—the Huawei exhibition vehicle, featuring a “Transformer”-style front, will be fully converted into an electronic music truck Yuan Stage, showcasing a futuristic style and tech vibe, highlighting the crossover appeal between technology and electronic music. Additionally, visitors can visit the Huawei Mobile Brand Journey interactive zone to compose trendy music and experience an unprecedented fusion of electronic music and technology.

For many years, Tiger has sponsored the MIDI Music Festival, reflecting its attitude of “The More You Release, The Freer You Feel”: where there’s music, there’s Tiger; where there’s rock, there’s Tiger. This time, Tiger brings not only ice-cold pure beer for Yangtze River MIDI fans, but also a thrilling trampoline that lets you soar and the Rock Band rhythm game for you to challenge. Jägermeister, the world’s top-selling liqueur, will set up a uniquely massive inflatable Cube at the Yangtze River MIDI—the first of its kind in China—inviting top DJs to create the most dazzling and coolest club party experience. Moreover, there’s a smoking area over 1,000 square meters called “Red Beat” for adult smokers at the Yangtze River MIDI. At last year’s Beijing MIDI, three fans won a free 5-day trip to the Ferrari factory in Italy through interactive activities in this area. This year, by participating in activities like the big graffiti session in Red Beat, you might just win VIP access to the Ferrari suite at the Shanghai F1 race. As the outdoor equipment sponsor brand for both the 2014 Yangtze River MIDI and Taihu MIDI, Himalaya will create a safe and personalized MIDI camp for fans, and will also host activities such as tent-building competitions to win gear and free mobile photo printing by scanning WeChat.

This year’s Yangtze River MIDI will once again feature super cool climbing activities. As the exclusive strategic news client partner media of the music festival, NetEase News Client will further promote its “Have Attitude” journalism philosophy, setting up an “Attitude” booth interactive area offering fun activities like creative spray painting, rock graffiti, attitude cover photo shoots, and more—with limited-edition MIDI scarves given away exclusively. In addition, NetEase News Client will dispatch a special envoy, “Attitude Man,” to interact with fans onsite and advocate that “Everyone Can Have Attitude” and “Everyone Is an Attitude Man.” Shanghai Big Pixel Studio will conduct a super cool digital art project at 4 PM on October 1st on the Tang Stage, inviting fans to co-create China’s largest 24-billion-pixel group photo of ten thousand people—“Ten Thousand Fans.” The production crew of the upcoming rock youth movie Rock Heroes, set to hit theaters during the holiday season, will also be at the Yangtze River MIDI to document and shoot the live rock scene. In addition, the nearby “Sanjia Port Seaside Park” is offering special discounts for Yangtze River MIDI fans—show your festival ticket to enjoy 50% off park entry, plus complimentary activities such as Hainan fish spa, kayaking or rowing (minimum 2 people), sand sculpture viewing, swimming, and more.

The Taihu MIDI Music Park (formerly Green Town Park) is located on the north side of Miaogang Bridge in Qidu Town, Wujiang City, Jiangsu Province, within the Pujiangyuan National Water Conservancy Scenic Area. It borders the source of the Huangpu River, the Taipu River, to the south and the vast Taihu Lake to the north, adjacent to the Taihu University founded by Mr. Nan Huai-Chin and Kaixian Village, the social survey sample site of Mr. Fei Xiaotong’s “Jiangcun Economy.” The scenery is picturesque and naturally beautiful. The existing facilities at the Taihu MIDI Music Park are well-equipped. During the music festival, aside from performances on four stages, there are also unique amusement features not found at other festivals. The park’s original children’s playground, horse riding area, go-kart track, and haunted house remain open as usual (project fees are not included in the festival ticket and must be purchased separately onsite). At the Taihu MIDI, Red Bull brings fashionable skateboarding, freestyle biking, and other extreme sports, live graffiti by artists, trendy dancing led by beautiful performers, professional DJs, MCs, and more—limitless challenges and creativity. Blue Salt 360 has prepared 50 cameras and a trampoline in the exhibition area of both music festivals to take photos of fans as they enjoy themselves. Fifty photos from various angles will be transmitted and compiled into a video in real time. The pillow fight event from Sweet Love Road will also appear at both the Yangtze River MIDI and Taihu MIDI, letting us go wild on this land ruled by love and freedom, all for the sweetest of times.
