China’s leading music festival brand, the Midi Festival, will take over Taihu Midi Camp from May 1st to 3rd. Situated on the banks of Taihu Lake in Qidu Town, Wujiang District, Suzhou, the camp features stunning views and vast open spaces. The Taihu Midi Folk & World Music Festival was successfully hosted here last October. Covering an area of 800 acres, Taihu Midi Camp is the country’s first large-scale outdoor youth activity camp open year-round. Nestled among lakes, rivers, woods, and green lawns, it exudes the utopian spirit of freedom, romance, equality, and care that Midi stands for, serving as a joyous stop and spiritual haven for all travelers on the road.
The 2015 Taihu Midi Music Festival will feature four stages: Tang (main stage), Warring States (heavy music stage), Ming (folk stage), and Kids Midi (children's stage), with performances by over a hundred domestic and international bands and musicians.
Then later, from May 15th to 17th, Taihu Midi Camp will also host the truly non-stop 48-hour 2015 Midi Electronic Music Festival. This edition will set up eight stages both outdoors and inside the camp’s castle, featuring performances by 80 electronic music artists. The confirmed international top-tier lineup includes Belgium’s electronic band The Subs, the renowned trio Brandt Brauer Frick (Live), the Dutch act Kamara (Live), Belgium’s Mumbai Science, Germany’s Smash TV, France’s Joris Delacroix, and a return performance from Japan’s Sulumi (Live).
Be it blazing sun or pouring rain, sandstorms or hurricanes, sorrow or discouragement, compromise or doubt — but please, do not stop my music!
The 2015 Midi Festival’s annual theme: The Song of the Heart.
