Wujin's West Taihu area boasts striking landscape features, with a network of rivers, scattered ponds, lush grass along the shores of Taihu Lake, rows of elm and willow trees, and the vast expanse of the lake’s surface shimmering in the sunlight. Beyond the scenery, the area's millennia-old cultural heritage — such as the Chengwan Mountain rock cave burial mounds, the ruins of Guishan Academy, the Wu Zixu Temple, and the Helü City — is equally captivating. In addition, the region has a wealth of established tourist attractions, including Happy Valley, China Filial Piety Culture Park, Zhushan Lake Town, and the National Dragon Boat Racing Base. Its cultural and historical landscapes are truly distinctive.
On the 6th, following the conclusion of the sixth stage of the 2014 Taihu Lake International Road Cycling Race, the identity of the race leader changed hands for the third time. This edition of the race has proven to be the most competitive since its inception.
On the 7th, all participants will continue to compete in the seventh stage of the Taihu Lake Race — the “Xtep” Huzhou Taihu Lake Tourism Resort–Wuxing District Circuit Race.
