Last updated 2026-11-08 — From September 22 to October 7, a 16-day "Family Festival: Dream Big · Monkey Moon in Western Hunan" family tourism festival will be held in Furong Town. The event is centered around the thousand-year-old ancient town hanging over the waterfall — Furong Town — along with several other uniquely charming scenic spots nearby, allowing you to truly experience the allure of western Hunan. ...

In recent years, Taihu Bay Tourist Resort has carefully planned the "marriage" of sports and tourism resources, exploring the path toward becoming a "sports leisure town." Leveraging its natural landscape resources and highly influential sporting events, it actively promotes the integration of sports leisure activities with the tourism industry. By adding new projects to enrich content, integrating surrounding tourism resources of Taihu Bay, and vigorously developing a comprehensive "sports+" model that combines fitness, entertainment, and leisure, the resort has achieved cross-industry integration between sports and tourism.

Taihu Bay Camping Valley is one of the outcomes under this model. With a planned area of nearly 700 acres and an investment of hundreds of millions of yuan, it will become a groundbreaking cross-sector tourism project that opens a new era of camping within the Wujin Taihu Bay Tourist Resort.

Taihu Bay Camping Valley is an outdoor leisure destination integrating eco-camping, team-building training, eco-recreation, and farm fun experiences. It boasts abundant natural vegetation, expansive sunlit lawns, as well as facilities including a five-star standard RV base, tent hotels, eco-friendly wooden cabins, distinctive mushroom houses, and hundreds of campsites. Fully equipped with various lifestyle amenities, it meets all the needs of camping visitors.

Once completed, the project will become the largest and most comprehensively equipped team-building base in East China, covering all types of programs for adults, teenagers, children, and fun-based development. Beyond camping accommodations, stepping out of RVs and tents, visitors can enjoy a variety of unique eco-tourism activities such as treetop glass walkways, grass sliding fields, and jungle adventures, getting close to nature and experiencing the real mountains and waters of Taihu Bay. Farming experiences such as tea picking, tofu grinding, and rice cake pounding allow visitors to feel the serene mood of "picking chrysanthemums beneath the eastern fence, gazing leisurely at the southern mountain." Evening bonfire parties, stage light shows, and performances across the resort offer campers a distinctive nightlife experience. A wide range of dining and merchandise options are available, from farmhouse cuisine and open-fire stoves to barbecues, catering to the taste preferences of diverse visitors.

Currently, the development of campsites in China is still in its early stages. Due to factors such as a lack of market demand research and unclear market positioning, products and activities are relatively limited, showing little seasonal variation; they are more sightseeing-oriented and lack participatory elements; route designs are not diverse enough, offering limited choices. Amidst the severe homogenization of campsites, Taihu Bay Camping Valley surpasses the "Yangtze River Delta RV Camping Standardization Demonstration Base" in terms of investment scale, business mix, product functionality, as well as theme characteristics and recreational activity design.

Taihu Bay Camping Valley has already evolved into a resort-format product portfolio, with strong nearby attractions such as the Filial Piety Park and Xixi Valley. Centered around a diverse range of camping products, supplemented by outdoor team-building, eco-recreation, and farm fun experiences, Taihu Bay Camping Valley integrates surrounding camping resources to create a lightweight resort product cluster primarily focused on "camping" as the main recreational mode. It aims to meet all outdoor leisure and vacation needs of tourists in one stop. By adopting an industrial-scale approach, it innovates the concept of "Camping+". It's not just about creating a scenic spot; breaking out of the camping circle, it becomes a one-stop outdoor leisure camping resort. The resort pioneers a nationwide "Camping+X, One Theme, N Experiences" model, ushering in a new era of Super Camping+.
