Located at the summit of Chengshan Mountain, 700 meters northwest of Xianghu Community, Chengxiang Subdistrict, Xiaoshan District, Hangzhou. Trial excavations were conducted in 1991. The site is situated on a mountaintop, with a low central area surrounded by higher ground; the high points are artificial rammed city walls, taking on a horizontal gourd shape in plan, with a perimeter of 1,091 meters. It covers an area of approximately 36,000 square meters. The walls are gently sloped inside and steep outside, with elevated terraces at the four corners. There are springs and pools within the city. It served as a military fortress for the State of Yue to station troops and resist the State of Wu during the Spring and Autumn and Warring States periods.

Xianghu Community: Xianghu Community of Chengxiang Subdistrict, Xiaoshan District, Hangzhou, is located within the Xianghu Scenic Area. Its jurisdiction includes the residential areas of Xianghu Jiayuan Residential Compound and Touwu Xincun Residential Compound. It has a permanent population of about 8,000 people and 190 party members. Xianghu Community has a long history, originally composed of the natural villages along the Xianghu Lake, including Xiashun, Zhongshun, Shangshun, Kuahuqiao, Shenwangjia, Jinjiawu, Yaoliwu, and Touwu. Following reforms of village-level collective economy and overall relocation due to the Xianghu project, the area was resettled as the current urban community.
