Xiaoshan Qianjiang Tidal Bore Viewing Platform
: Besides Haining Yanguan, the Xiaoshan Qianjiang Tidal Bore Viewing Platform, located on Zheshan Mountain in Nanyang, Xiaoshan District, is another prime spot to watch the Qiantang River tidal bore. Every year, it attracts a continuous stream of tourists. During the tidal bore season, the China International Qiantang (Xiaoshan) Tidal Bore Festival is held, which had reached its 12th edition by 2005.
Tidal Bore Viewing Schedule – High Tide Days – Seasons: Spring & Autumn, Summer, Winter – Tides: 1st & 16th of Lunar Month – 01:50, 13:30, 01:05, 13:20 Dining / Accommodation / Shopping: Hangzhou Xiaoshan Qianjiang Tidal Bore Resort. Located within the Nanyang Tidal Bore Scenic Area in Xiaoshan, it has hosted the China International Tidal Bore Festival multiple times.
Transportation: From Longxiangqiao in downtown Hangzhou, you can take Bus 504 directly to Chengxiang Town in Xiaoshan District. Buses 515 and 315 go directly to Xiaoshan Bus Station (Chengxiang Town). Alternatively, you can go to Hangzhou Railway East Station and take a minibus directly to Xiaoshan Long-Distance Bus Station. During the Tidal Bore Festival, the bus company operates direct shuttle buses to the Tidal Bore Viewing Platform. From Long-Distance Bus Station, Bus 303 South Line can take you to Nanyang – Tidal Bore Viewing Platform.
