Former Site of the Xiaoshan Youth Movement

The Former Site of the Xiaoshan Youth Movement is a municipal-level cultural heritage site in Hangzhou.

The Former Site of the Xiaoshan Youth Movement is located at No. 115, Qiaodong, Miaojia Village, Suqian Town, Xiaoshan District. It dates back to 1928 and is categorized as an important modern historical site and representative building.

On July 24, 2019, the Former Site of the Xiaoshan Youth Movement was designated as part of the sixth batch of municipal-level cultural heritage protection units in Hangzhou.

Suqian Town: Located in the suburbs of Hangzhou, Suqian Town serves as the southern gateway to Xiaoshan District. It earned its name from the 18 salt offices built along the West Xiao River during the Ming Dynasty and is a town with a history of a thousand years. The town administers 39 administrative villages (residential communities), covers an area of 43.8 square kilometers, has a population of 36,000, includes 24,000 mu of arable land and 28,000 mu of forested land, and is home to more than 250 enterprises. Its industries mainly include construction materials, textiles and garments, machinery and hardware, plastics, and others.
