A nearly 3-meter-high brick wall separates the residence from the outside world. The residence covers an area of about 200 square meters. In front of the main house is a stone-paved courtyard. The central room of the main house serves as the hall, the east room functions as the kitchen, the west room once housed a private school, and the upper floor contains bedrooms. The site also preserves the desk and chair once used by Cai Dongfan.
