Chuan Shen Cave

Chuan Shen Cave was one of the ancient Ten Scenic Spots of Dongxi Rock in ancient times. Located halfway up the West Rock, it is a large cave that goes right through the “body” of the West Rock.

It consists of an inner and an outer cave, resembling two flat funnels connected together. The outer cave is 40 meters long and wide, and 8 meters high, with two entrances from which you can overlook the entire view of West Rock.

The inner cave is 20 meters long and wide. Between the inner and outer caves, there is a narrow passage that is 6 meters long and less than a meter high, posing a challenge to many. The outer cave entrance is spacious and flat, able to accommodate hundreds of people, making it a great spot for gatherings, entertainment, and camping overnight.

The inner cave entrance can hold dozens of people, but just below it lies a sheer cliff thousands of feet high. Standing at the cave entrance and looking out, you can clearly see the rugged rocks, lush forests, terraced fields, and mirror-like reservoirs. A mountain breeze brings the chirping of birds and the beautiful mountain songs of young She ethnic singers.
