Dagangtou Scenic Area
The Ancient Weir & Painting Village Scenic Area is located in Bihu Town and Dagangtou Town, Liandu District, Lishui City, Zhejiang Province, about twenty kilometers from downtown Lishui. Its core area includes Dagangtou, Yantou, Pingdi, and Baoding, boasting profound historical and cultural heritage and a rich artistic atmosphere.
The Dagangtou Scenic Area is in Dagangtou Town, Bihu District, Lishui City (take Bus 203 to Dagangtou Station — Huaxiang; you can get off early at the market intersection and walk in). It lies along the Ou River, where the Painting Village (a 4A-level scenic spot) is located. It’s about 23 kilometers from downtown. This is both a base for art sketching and painting production, as well as a place for leisure vacations and sampling local farmhouse cuisine. Many of the town’s riverside residences have been converted into homestays and shops, originally used as art studios. The stream fish of Dagangtou and the ? fish of the Ou River are especially famous and worth trying.
