Jinshan Pagoda

Jinshan Pagoda is a Zhejiang Provincial-level cultural relic protection unit.

Jinshan Pagoda is a municipal-level cultural relic protection unit, located atop Jinshan Hill on the southern bank of the Ou River. Built before the third year of the Zhengtong era in the Ming Dynasty (1438), it is one of the few ancient pagodas that still remain in the province today. It is an important iconic structure of the ancient city of Lishui, offering panoramic views of the city from the top. The stone statues within the pagoda feature bold and steady carvings with distinctive local characteristics. The entire pagoda was constructed using locally sourced purple-red volcanic breccia stones from the top of Jinshan Hill, a structural style that is relatively rare in our province.
