Lingjiu Temple Stone Pagodas

The Lingjiu Temple Stone Pagodas are a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

The Lingjiu Temple Stone Pagodas were built during the Jiading era of the Southern Song Dynasty and are a provincial-level cultural heritage site. The pagodas stand over four meters tall in total, with a hexagonal layout. They feature Buddha statues at the center, adorned with stone carvings along the sides. Inscriptions on the pagoda bodies are traceable to historical records. Currently located within Wanshan Park in Lishui City, four pagodas remain, with the No. 2 pagoda being the best preserved.

Located in Wanshan within Lishui City. There are four pagodas, numbered from south to north as 1 to 4, with largely similar appearances and structures. The finials of pagodas 1, 2, and 4 are damaged, while pagoda 3 is relatively intact, standing 4.2 meters tall in total with a spire height of 2.0 meters. The entire pagoda consists of three parts: the base, the body, and the top. The base is hexagonal and shaped like a Sumeru pedestal. The body is oval-shaped and hollow, carved with lions, lotus flowers, sacred flowers, Buddha statues, and guardian deities. The top features a six-sided spire canopy with arched edges, above which are arranged—in sequence—a inverted bowl, a precious gem, a floral ornament, five layers of discs (known as "singing wheels"), and a precious canopy. Originally situated on Lingjiu Mountain, 10 kilometers east of Lishui City, they were relocated in 1959 to Qianxi Mountain on the outskirts of Yunhe County, and then moved to their current location in 1980.

On October 7, 2019, the Lingjiu Temple Stone Pagodas were included in the eighth batch of National Key Cultural Relics Protection Units.
