The Zhejiang Southwest Revolutionary Base Memorial Hall is a classic red tourism destination and a base for patriotic education.

The Zhejiang Southwest Revolutionary Base Memorial Hall is situated on the west side of Zijin Road, east side of Yulei Road, and north side of Jiangbin Road in the urban area, adjacent to the former site of the provincial party committee in Xihe. The project covers a total construction area of 3,300 square meters with an overall investment of nearly 30 million yuan. The memorial hall comprises 18 themed exhibition halls as the main component along with auxiliary structures, and is designed as a garden-style building. Featuring a courtyard architectural style, the memorial hall harmoniously integrates monuments, sculptures, trees, and ground lighting. It complements the nearby riverside park, Lishui Museum, and Youth Science and Technology Activity Center, blending education with leisure and tourism activities. The 18 exhibition halls comprehensively present historical materials related to the Zhejiang Southwest Revolutionary Base. In addition, the site includes a theater, lecture hall, and resource center.

As the only prefecture-level city in the province where every county (city, district) was part of a revolutionary base, Lishui boasts a wealth of revolutionary sites and relics, coupled with profound historical and cultural heritage, giving it unique advantages for developing red tourism. Promoting the nationally and provincially influential brand of the "Zhejiang Southwest Revolutionary Base" helps enhance Lishui’s visibility and elevate its status as the central city of southwest Zhejiang. At the same time, it lays a solid foundation for applying to become a provincial or national classic red tourism destination.
