Destination Introduction The First Drift in Northern Beijing Entertainment Center is located within the Longtanjian Natural Scenic Area in Liulimiao Township, Huairou County, on the outskirts of Beijing, about 40 kilometers from downtown Huairou. The Longtan River in the scenic area has a long and winding course, making it the only natural river drifting attraction in the Beijing area. The drifting activity covers approximately 10 kilometers. Riding a rubber raft downstream, visitors can enjoy views of steep cliffs that seem to have been carved by knives and axes, strange peaks and peculiar rocks towering ahead, as well as eagles soaring overhead and ancient pines and cypresses standing proudly on the cliffs. The raft may be pulled into swirling eddies or glide through calm waters, offering both the thrill of near capsizing and the safety of no risk of drowning. Many visitors have praised it as comparable to a trip along the Three Gorges. The drifting activity can be enjoyed solo or with a group of three or five friends, whether for competition or leisure, making it a fun and suitable activity for all ages. Many visitors find themselves wanting to go again even after finishing the ride.
