Destination Introduction

Beijing Green Lake Sightseeing and Picking Garden is located in the northwest of Huairou District, bordering the urban area to the east, adjacent to Huairou Reservoir to the south, lying along the main tourist route to Mutianyu Great Wall to the north, and just separated from the main tourist route to Hongluo Temple by the Jingmi Diversion Canal.

The garden was built in 2001 with a total investment of 5 million yuan and covers an area of 260 mu. It is divided into a fresh fruit picking area, an experimental area, and a comprehensive management area. The fresh fruit picking area spans 230 mu and features 107 new varieties, categorized into peach, cherry, apricot, pear, and plum sections. The area includes covered walkways, footpaths, drinking fountains, and rest spots.

The garden strictly adheres to organic production standards. In 2003, it was designated as an “Official Picking Orchard” by the “Golden Autumn Harvest” Million Citizens’ Orchard Picking Tour Organizing Committee. In 2004, it was appointed as an “Official Sightseeing and Picking Garden” by the Beijing Million Citizens’ Orchard Picking Activity Organizing Committee, recognized as a Beijing Agricultural Standardization Production Base, and registered the fruit brand “Bifeng.”

By Bus: Take bus 916 or a minibus from Dongzhimen Long-Distance Bus Station to Dadi Station in Huairou District. Walk 100 meters north to the roundabout, then 50 meters west on the south side of the road.

By Car: Follow the Jingmi Road (National Highway 101) to the Kaifang Road Roundabout, turn right at the second traffic light after heading west, then left at the next traffic light. Continue straight to the Qingchun Road North Roundabout, go straight for 50 meters, and the garden is on the south side of the road.
