Destination Introduction

　Wutong Ridge Scenic Area is located among the majestic mountains of Huairou District in suburban Beijing, surrounded by renowned natural sites such as Cloud Shadow Mountain, Mysterious Gorge Divine Pool, Dragon Pool Gully, and the No. 1 Waterfall of Northern Beijing. The scenic area is 70 kilometers from Beijing and covers a total area of 16 square kilometers. The landscape here features beautiful peaks and uniquely shaped rocks, with natural stone formations such as "Penguin Peak," "Taishi Chair," "Reclining Turtle Stone," and "Divine Elephant Rock" that are strikingly lifelike and exquisitely formed by nature. Streams trickle through rocks within the ridge, gathering into pools where gurgling waters cascade down like silver chains. In winter, ice waterfalls hang upside down, sparkling crystal clear. Along the winding mountain paths, visitors can see vines entwined around ancient pines and towering old trees growing from cliffs. Hiking to higher ground and looking out from the railings, one can gaze across a vast expanse of endless mountain ranges.

Transportation Information: From Dongzhimen — take Jing-Shun Road — turn north at Kuliu Tree Roundabout — continue north at Huairou Welcome Roundabout — head toward Yanqi Lake via the Yanqi Lake direction at the North Welcome Roundabout — then go straight along Huai-Feng Highway to reach the destination. Alternatively, take Bus 936 from Dongzhimen directly to the scenic area.
