Huairou Wolong Mountain

Huairou Wolong Mountain is a national AA-level tourist attraction.

The Wolong Mountain Scenic Tourism Resort is located in Bohai Town, Huairou District, Beijing, just 5 kilometers east of the Mutianyu

Great Wall (to the east) and only 20 kilometers west of the Tianhuadong Scenic Area. The Wolong Mountain area features towering, rugged peaks, as well as the continuous expanse of the Great Wall, with successive watchtowers perched precariously on the cliffs, presenting an ever-changing and awe-inspiring sight. The best seasons to visit are spring and autumn.

The resort area boasts serene mountains and secluded ridges, brimming with natural beauty, crystal-clear springs, murmuring streams, gleaming stone carvings of exquisite craftsmanship, and remnants of ancient passes, old city walls, and beacon towers. At the foot of the majestic Ming Dynasty Great Wall, red wooden houses stand in striking contrast and close proximity to the wall.

At the foot of the mountain lies the Rainbow Villa, which features uniquely designed European-style wooden cottages. The resort includes 17 guest rooms, with a specially designed White House Suite that boasts a distinctive style. It currently offers 80 beds, a small conference hall, a countryside bar, and the “Persimmon Forest Cottage,” known for its freshly prepared rainbow trout. Visitors can stay overnight, hold meetings, enjoy entertainment, go fishing, or take mineral baths.

Beds at the Rainbow Resort Villa cost around 80 yuan, and guests can order dishes to their taste at affordable prices.

Transportation: Take bus 916 from Dongzhimen, transfer to the Huairou-Shacheng line, and get off on the west side of the Mutianyu Roundabout.

Bohai Town: Located directly north of the urban area, at the southwestern tip of Huairou District, Bohai Town is 61 kilometers from Dongzhimen in the city center and 23 kilometers from downtown Huairou. The town covers a total area of 152.77 square kilometers, with the Huairou-Shacheng Highway running east-west through the town, serving as a major transportation route.

Bohai Town administers 20 administrative villages and 23 natural villages, with a current population of 16,000. In 2010, the town achieved a total rural economic income of 520 million yuan; a per capita rural income of 12,320 yuan; fixed asset investment within the town totaling 270 million yuan; and fiscal revenue of 46.1 million yuan.
