Sunrise Viewing Platform On the upper right side of Luhuadang Park, follow the winding stone steps, pass through the bamboo forest and villas, and you’ll soon arrive at the Sunrise Viewing Platform. The platform is about four to five meters high. Before dawn, wait quietly by the railing, then suddenly the clouds in the east tremble lightly, and a beam of light shoots out from within — so faint, so fleeting, hard to grasp. But in the blink of an eye, it condenses into a streak of dark red. Slowly, the light seems startled, begins to flow, to expand, and in a flash, the shimmering colors light up the heavens and earth in a breathtaking spectacle.

The Sunrise Viewing Platform is located atop Huixin Cliff, between the foremost of Mount Laojun’s Five Peaks—the Ziqi Donglai Peak—and the Laojun Immortal Cave. It offers a sweeping view of the farmland crisscrossing the valley below, and in the distance, undulating mountain ranges stretch as far as the eye can see, all blanketed in lush greenery. At dawn, the sun rises in a brilliant burst, refreshing the senses. This is the best spot on Mount Laojun to watch the sunrise.
