Strange Rocks Point — I think this name is quite creative. [Web excerpt] Strange Rocks Point is located on the western side of Tashan, the main peak of Mount Mogan. Here, jagged rocks are clustered together, among which stands a huge rock over 10 meters high that juts out abruptly, known as “Strange Rocks Point.” It was formed by the fractured and displaced accumulation of volcanic rocks. With numerous strange rocks and rugged stones clustered densely, they seem to be carved by ghosts and gods, competing in grandeur. Their shapes resemble piled clouds, giant eggs, lions and elephants, dragons and snakes; their postures are either standing or kneeling, sitting or lying down. Among them, there is a massive layered rock four or five zhang high (approximately 13–16 meters), stacked in three tiers, appearing as if balanced precariously like piled eggs. The top of the rock is flat, offering a view of the sunset or a place to sit, lie down, and rest. The middle layer has a cave that you can enter by sidling through, accommodating seven or eight people. Looking up at the base of the rock from below, it resembles a fierce beast that has leaped up but been held suspended in midair by some “divine” force.

After walking uneventfully along a forest path for 20 minutes, you turn a corner and suddenly feel a sense of openness. In the distance, layers upon layers of lush greenery stretch out. The scenery may not be particularly unique, but such an expansive view is still refreshing and uplifting.
