Deqing Zhangwang Changfu Palace

Zhangwang Changfu Palace is located on Ducusang Mountain by the Tiaoxi River in Shacun, Luoshe Town, Deqing County, Huzhou City, Zhejiang Province. It primarily enshrines Zhangwang Changfu Dadi, the Han Dynasty water control hero of the Yangtze River basin, and General Shi Bin, the Zhongjuan Marquis from the Jin Dynasty.

Zhangwang Changfu Palace was first built during the Han Dynasty and has been destroyed and rebuilt many times throughout the dynasties, boasting a history of over 2,000 years. Its ancient steles and records are clear and well-documented, enjoying a certain level of fame in the Huzhou area.

Zhangwang Changfu Palace was rebuilt in the 1980s. Over the past few decades, it has been expanded year after year through donations from devotees, covering an area of approximately 15 acres. The current complex is majestic, featuring the Lingguan Hall, Changfu Hall, Cihang Hall, Earth God Shrine, Bell Tower, Drum Tower, and West Lodges. It primarily enshrines: Zhangshan Changfu Dadi, Zhongjuan Marquis Shi Wang, the Three Pure Ones, Cihang Guanyin, Lingguan Ye, Wenchang Dijun, the God of Wealth, and the Earth God. The annual temple fair on the eighth day of the second lunar month attracts numerous worshippers. The resident Taoist priests adhere strictly to monastic rules and regulations. They regularly study national religious affairs policies and actively participate in charitable activities. With the support of the government, devotees, and Taoist practitioners, it is believed that in the near future, the site will become an even better religious and public welfare destination — a celestial realm by the Tiaoxi River and a blessed land.
