The Deqing County Civic Morality Education Museum is a patriotic education base.

The Deqing County Civic Morality Education Museum is located at Building 49, Yuyingfang, Wukang Town, Deqing County, covering an area of 400 square meters. In 2013, it was designated as a “Zhejiang Provincial Patriotic Education Base.”

Centered around the theme “When people have virtue, they are as clear as water,” the Deqing County Civic Morality Education Museum consists of eight exhibition areas: Dedication in Work, Family Love and Virtue, Character Building, Acts of Kindness, Moral Development, A Small City with Great Love, Ordinary People’s Righteous Deeds, and Moral Waystations. It showcases the stories of Deqing’s moral pioneers and role models, systematically outlines the development of moral construction in Deqing County, vividly portrays the “spiritual archives” of Deqing people, actively promotes basic socialist moral standards, and fosters a positive social atmosphere. Serving as a patriotic education base for students and a platform for inheriting moral traditions and cultivating civic spirit, the museum plays a significant role in enhancing mutual understanding among people and encouraging students and citizens to establish sound moral values.

Since its opening, the museum has attracted visitors from all over. It offers interactive features such as audience pledges and message boards, hosts ceremonies for joining the Young Pioneers, Communist Youth League, and Communist Party via large screens, and conducts classes for Young Pioneers, Youth League, and Party members using PowerPoint presentations. An online version of the museum has been launched as a multimedia extension of the physical site, facilitating online interactions and comments. Around the start of school and graduation seasons, local primary and secondary schools organize student visits. The museum also regularly trains primary and middle school students to serve as volunteer guides, having conducted over 200 such training sessions. To date, the museum receives over 40,000 visitors annually, with a daily capacity of 50 visitors per group.
