Hexidun Site

The Hexidun Site is a cultural heritage protection unit of Deqing County.

The Hexidun Site is located in Hexidun, East Baitu Village, Xinqiao Village, Xin’an Town. It dates back to the Neolithic Age and is classified as an ancient site.

In September 2006, the Hexidun Site was designated as a county-level cultural heritage protection unit.

Xinqiao Village: Located in the northwest of Xin’an Town (formed in 2001 through the merger of the former Xincun Village and Qiunan Village during a village-level administrative adjustment), Xinqiao Village borders Xiasha Village to the east, Shexi Village to the south, Qianyuan Town to the west, and Zhongguan Town to the north. The village committee is 8 kilometers away from the town government. The village covers an area of 4 square kilometers; it has 2,434 mu of paddy fields, 732 mu of mulberry fields, and 60 mu of fish ponds. It comprises 26 villager groups, with a total population of 2,050, including 1,488 laborers.
