Zhang Xing Art Gallery is located within the scenic area of Luzhi Ancient Town, situated at the southeast corner of Jiangnan Cultural Park. It neighbors Luzhi Yucailu Road to the east and Luzhi Zhengyuanlu Road to the south, enjoying a prime location and convenient transportation. To further enrich the cultural and tourism appeal of Luzhi Ancient Town, the town launched the Zhang Xing Art Gallery project in May 2013. The project was funded and constructed by Suzhou Luzhi Oriental Culture Tourism Development Co., Ltd., with exhibition design by Shanghai Chengtang Culture Communication Co., Ltd. With a total investment of nearly 20 million yuan, the gallery covers a land area of 1,556.2 square meters and has a total construction area of 3,072.62 square meters. The venue incorporates a variety of high-end multimedia display elements to achieve the optimal presentation of artworks. Zhang Xing Art Gallery was officially completed and opened on October 17, 2014. Named after the renowned artist Mr. Zhang Xing, it houses and displays over a thousand donated artworks, including calligraphy, paintings, and jade artifacts. It serves not only as a dedicated institution for collecting and exhibiting Mr. Zhang Xing’s artistic creations but also as an important platform for international cultural and artistic exchanges. Currently, the gallery operates independently and has an office responsible for daily management. The entire venue consists of three floors: one underground level and two above-ground levels. The underground level showcases over 200 cherished pieces from Mr. Zhang Xing’s personal collection, including various jade ornaments and ceramic vessels. The two above-ground levels display nearly 900 pieces of calligraphy and painting works, most of which are created by Mr. Zhang Xing himself, along with several masterpieces by renowned artists such as Liu Haisu, Qian Juntao, Ding Shaoguang, and Yang Feiyun. In addition to the exhibition halls, the gallery also features well-equipped spaces for art exchange, lectures, and other activities, where regular cultural and artistic events are held.
