Suzhou Wan Niao Yuan Scenic Area

Suzhou Wan Niao Yuan Scenic Area is located in the western part of Suzhou, covering an area of 130 acres. It is adjacent to the Qionglong Mountain Scenic Area, the birthplace of "The Art of War" and a national 5A-level tourist attraction, and is situated near the former residence of Li Genyuan, a prominent figure of the Republican era — known as “Little Longzhong.” This is a bird-themed ecological tourism destination and also the only bird-focused ecological tourism spot in Jiangsu Province.

The park features a blend of traditional and modern architectural styles, integrating sightseeing, education, and leisure. It is home to over 150 species of rare birds from China and around the world. Among them are more than 20 species of rare birds found globally, and over 30 species of rare birds native to China. These include nearly 10,000 birds across six categories: waterfowl, wading birds, flying birds, songbirds, birds of prey, and pigeons. It is one of the most comprehensive bird-watching parks in China in terms of species diversity, population, and bird performances. Exotic birds, melodious chirps, the harmonious coexistence of humans and nature, and the joy of being with birds all come together naturally in this fragrant and lively place — Suzhou Wan Niao Yuan.

Major attractions within Wan Niao Yuan include: Linghu Waterfowl Garden, Crane Wading Bird Garden, Tropical Flower and Bird Garden, Flamingo Garden, Small Birds Garden, and the Science Education Hall. Additionally, the park has a performance area where parrots and other special birds engage in human-bird interactions, along with shows featuring puzzles, arithmetic, basketball, and more.
