Tomb of Xu Xuemo

The Tomb of Xu Xuemo is a cultural heritage site protected by Suzhou Municipality.

The Tomb of Xu Xuemo is located in Shangtianjing Village, Tandong, Guangfu Town, Wuzhong District, Suzhou. Dating back to the Ming Dynasty, the tomb faces south and has an earthen mound that stands 1.5 meters high with a base diameter of 3 meters. The original tomb path has been destroyed, and all stone steles and components have been stolen. The surviving stone carvings featuring bird shapes and cloud patterns, as well as the burial chamber, remain. The current gravestone is newly erected. On the inner side of the circular wall behind the tomb mound, there is a carved stone image of the God of Longevity embedded in the wall, along with a surviving stone tablet inscribed with “Spirit of the Earth.”
