Wuxi Modern Agriculture Expo Park (hereinafter referred to as the Agri Expo Park) is located in Jiaoshan Village, Anzhen Town, Xishan District, covering an area of 1 square kilometer. It is divided into four major exhibition areas: the Agricultural Expo Display Area, the Eco-Wellness Residential Area, the Farming Culture Exhibition Area, and the Agricultural Tourism Sightseeing Area. By utilizing the advantages of high-tech agricultural tourism and ecological and cultural resources, the park has initially formed a comprehensive modern agriculture zone integrating exhibition display, technology promotion and education, eco-tourism, specialty agricultural product trading, and conference reception.

Currently, the Agri Expo Park has built a 9,200-square-meter high-tech agricultural exhibition hall, a 1,000-square-meter farming culture museum, an ecological restaurant, water aquaculture and fishing facilities, as well as a leisure club. The high-tech agricultural exhibition hall organically integrates technological facilities, horticultural landscapes, Wu-region culture, and garden art, fully showcasing the image of the scenic area as “The Charm of Wu Culture, Blessings Across the Water Town; Agricultural Science Wonders, Creative Countryside.”

Wuxi Modern Agriculture Expo Park is not only a pioneer and demonstration zone for modern agriculture but also a heritage site for farming culture. The Farming Culture Exhibition Area is generally divided into three parts: the Preface Hall, the Four Seasons Hall, and the Wu Region Vernacular Dwellings. Here, visitors can see a rich array of exhibits on Wu-region water conservancy, farming, aquaculture, sericulture, fisheries, and agricultural proverbs; they can also feel the dedication and wisdom generations of farmers have invested in building a better homeland.

High-Tech Agricultural Exhibition Hall: The hall consists of two glass-framed greenhouse buildings, east and west, covering a total area of 10,000 square meters. The interior is divided into different zones by bamboo and wood trellises, complemented by various landscape features and planted with over a hundred varieties of new, unique, and exotic ornamental plants from around the world, symbolizing the charm of Wu culture, agricultural science wonders, and creative countryside. Based on the growth characteristics of rare fruits and vegetables, the east hall mainly displays various vegetables and melon varieties, while the west hall focuses on flowers and tropical plants. In addition to ornamental plants, the hall also showcases advanced technologies such as soilless cultivation, state-of-the-art facility cultivation, eco-friendly and aesthetically pleasing columnar cultivation, and drip irrigation. It serves as an educational and entertaining destination that combines leisure, sightseeing, play, and science education.

Farming Culture Exhibition Hall: Located on the north side of the Agri Expo Park, it covers an area of about 1,000 square meters and consists of three parts: the Preface Hall, the Four Seasons Hall, and the Wu Region Vernacular Dwellings. The Preface Hall primarily uses China’s 24 solar terms as the main thread of agricultural culture, employing scene-based exhibitions as the main method, combined with text, images, models, and other presentation techniques to highlight the systematic and vividly typical scenes of farming culture. The Four Seasons Hall is composed of four exhibition spaces—Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter. The Spring Hall depicts sericulture and the silk economy as the main springtime farming activities in the Jiangnan region; the Summer Hall shows women harvesting water chestnuts in boats and inserting calamus during the Dragon Boat Festival in May to ward off evil; the Autumn Hall illustrates the harvest season with displays of traditional winnowing tools; the Winter Hall portrays rural New Year festivities, including pig slaughtering and wine brewing. The Wu Region Vernacular Dwellings mainly showcase living scenes and household items from old rural homes of the 1960s, 70s, and 80s, such as the living room, kitchen, and bedroom.

Large-Scale Flower Exhibitions: Leveraging existing water bodies, artificial islands, and landscape architecture, Wuxi Agri Expo Park hosts three large-scale flower exhibitions each year. Spring features tulips, summer highlights lotus flowers, and autumn showcases lilies, all accompanied by nearly 100 varieties of ornamental flowering plants, covering an area of nearly 100 acres for visitors to enjoy.

Happy Farm: Utilizing its unique resources, the Agri Expo Park has created a real-life version of a happy farm, offering a total of 30 acres of plots. Urban dwellers can rent their own “Happy Farm” plots, which are divided into small sections of about 10 square meters each. The rental price is 30 RMB per square meter, with 2–3 plots available for each lessee. (The Agri Expo Park will provide a signboard for each plot where owners can name their Happy Farm, and designated personnel will manage the gardens.)

Transportation by Bus: Take bus routes 722, 727, etc., within Wuxi City and get off at the Agri Expo Park stop.

Driving Directions: 1. From downtown, take Xihui Road to Xidong Avenue, turn left and go 3 kilometers to reach the Agri Expo Park; alternatively, from Erquan Road, go to Tuanjie Avenue, turn left for 3 kilometers, then turn right onto Xiyu Road and follow it for 8 kilometers to the park. 2. Starting from downtown heading directly east, drive 350 meters along S342, then make a slight left turn into Tuanjie Road. Drive 20 meters along Tuanjie Road, make a slight left turn back onto S342, drive 9.2 kilometers along S342, then turn left onto Xidong Avenue.
