Gan Gang Tourist Area

Gan Gang Tourist Area is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

Gan Gang Village is located in Wulie Town, Dongtai City, at the junction of Dongtai, Dafeng, and Xinghua (three cities/districts). National Highway 204 runs through the entire area. The village covers a total area of about 10 square kilometers, with 912 households and 3,300 mu of arable land.

The village’s featured industries are rural tourism and the cultivation of new watermelon and muskmelon varieties. It has been successively awarded the titles of National Ecological Culture Village, China’s Model Village for Rural Tourism, National Beautiful and Livable Village, Jiangsu Provincial Civilized Village, Jiangsu’s Most Beautiful Village, and Jiangsu Five-Star Rural Tourism Area.

Following the development orientation of “eco-home, rural tourism, and specialized market,” Gan Gang Village focuses on building five major functional zones: “One Park, Three Areas, and One Center.” Bicheng Business Park, supported by a steel market and an auto city, serves as a provincial-level service industry cluster. The eco-residential area features a water town ambiance and leverages the village’s superior natural conditions to develop a new type of residential zone. The rural tourism area centers around the Village History Museum, Hundred Crafts Garden, Hundred Fruit Garden, and Hundred Herbs Garden. The agricultural demonstration area focuses on the cultivation of organic agricultural products and serves as a pilot and demonstration zone for high-efficiency leisure and sightseeing agriculture. The Community Comprehensive Service Center is designed to facilitate villagers’ production and daily life, providing public service facilities such as a service hall, convenience supermarket, health service station, and kindergarten.
