The Jiangyuan Changbai Mountain Songhua Stone Museum is China's only thematic museum dedicated to the culture of Songhua stone. Covering a total area of 8,229.85 square meters with a building area of 7,700 square meters, the museum is designed in the shape of the Chinese character "品" (meaning "quality"). Its exterior is clad in white marble, adorned with carvings that illustrate the scenery of Changbai Mountain, stories and legends about Songhua stone (inkstones), as well as reliefs of imperial inkstones from the Qing Dynasty and their appreciation.

The museum currently has an exhibition area of over 1,700 square meters, featuring four major thematic displays: "Heavenly Stone Charm – Songhua Stone," "Imperial Inkstone – Songhua Inkstone," "Classic of a Prosperous Age – Jiangyuan Stone City," and "Cambrian and Ordovician." Utilizing advanced display technology, detailed content design, and innovative presentation methods, the museum fully showcases the hundreds of millions of years of cultural heritage of Songhua stone, the mysterious imperial history of Songhua inkstones, and the development of the local Songhua stone cultural industry in Jiangyuan District in recent years. Through special and temporary exhibitions, it highlights regional characteristics and displays local folklore. In addition, the museum offers public cultural facilities for participation and shared enjoyment, including tea tasting, calligraphy, reading, and interactive experiences. These provide visitors with an aesthetic experience of gaining knowledge and cultivating sentiment, making positive contributions to building a harmonious socialist society and promoting the development of local political, economic, and cultural endeavors.
