Take one bite of the pastries at Café Dior, and you’ll feel happiness overflow through all five senses. In truth, both desserts and fashion, taste and vision, need to be both novel and traditional—just right is just perfect. Next time, I’ll come back to try another dessert, dressed in Dior Homme, or perhaps, I should just head back to Paris again.

Yi Hua Yuan French-Italian Cuisine, located in the old houses area of Dadaocheng, is a French-style restaurant that opened in October 2016. Its most popular offering is the pizza. The head chef, Zhou Yuli, is the eldest son of Zhou Xiwai. He graduated from Le Cordon Bleu culinary school in France. The restaurant not only features flower arrangements grown by Zhou Xiwai but also paintings by him, creating a uniquely elegant atmosphere.

After the success of the all-you-can-eat hairy crab promotion launched in September at Junpin Hotel’s Yunxuan Western Restaurant, starting December 1st, the all-you-can-eat experience is being upgraded with the introduction of the “All-You-Can-Eat Premium American Ribeye Steak,” available during both lunch and dinner. The price per person is NT$1,980 + 10%. Additionally, for just an extra NT$600 per person, diners can enjoy unlimited access to both the hairy crab and ribeye steak, along with a buffet featuring over 20 different dishes.

The South Korean chain James Cheesy Pork Ribs, which has expanded to nearly 1,000 overseas locations including China, the United States, Japan, Canada, Thailand, and Taiwan, opened its Zhongxiao branch on November 23 of last year (2016). However, just shy of its one-year anniversary, due to disagreements among shareholders regarding management philosophy, the Zhongxiao store will cease operations on November 26. The restaurant reminds customers that if they still hold meal vouchers, they should use them at the store as soon as possible or contact the restaurant to arrange a refund.

It’s actually snowing in Zhongli! The “Dajiang Shopping Mall” has been transformed into a romantic European-style snow village, with small wooden cabins covered in snow on their rooftops. Within the village, you might even spot several giant polar bears and white reindeer! A three-story-tall Christmas tree also stands in the center of the mall, bringing a strong Christmas atmosphere to Zhongli early on. The snow cabin village is set to become a popular winter photo spot!
