Luodong Tourist Night Market is definitely not unfamiliar to me, weekends here are absolutely packed with people without fail. So later on I started going on weekdays whenever possible, but I found that if it rains on a weekday, the crowd really thins out a lot, yet the vendors still operate as usual. So going to Luodong Night Market on a rainy day, aside from the slight annoyance of having to deal with an umbrella in the drizzle…
The first cold wave of winter has arrived, and the chill is palpable at Mount Taiping National Forest Recreation Area. Today (17th), most tree branches on the windward side of the mountain are covered in rime, turning the area into a snow-white wonderland.
Remember that quirky takeaway hot food stall Biteology tucked away in an alley, which only sold 20 takeout meals a day, from late last year? A year later, we were pleasantly surprised to find that the stall not only expanded to include seating but has also upgraded into a richly stocked, atmospherically delightful Deli hot food shop.

Japan’s third-largest conveyor belt sushi chain, KURA, has entered Taiwan and started its trial operation. As a fan of nigiri sushi, I had to be among the first to experience it. As soon as I walked in, I spotted the automated reservation system, with seating areas divided into table sections and priority counter seats. Since I was alone, I naturally opted for the priority counter area to avoid a long wait. The Taiwan KURA location has 148 seats, most of which are table seating, offering a spacious and comfortable atmosphere.

Shifen is located right across from National Cheng Kung University's Guangfu Campus, tucked away among a row of shops. At first glance at the address, I thought it was a newly opened store, but the owner told me they've been open for several months already!!! As someone who passes by there often, not knowing about this brunch spot was quite a blow—so of course I had to come check it out ASAP.

Most breakfast shops usually open in the morning, but this one actually has two operating periods, offering not only breakfast but also a late-night menu. This is Zhongnanhai Soy Milk Shop located in Gushan District. It was closed for a while before reopening. I had seen an online review about it a long time ago and had always wanted to try it. It wasn’t until my last visit to the newly opened Black Dog Cafe that I finally spotted this place. I immediately jotted it down and planned to come back for a late-night meal.

I first became interested in the National Taichung Theater because I admired the National Stadium in Kaohsiung (also known as the World Games Main Stadium), designed by Toyo Ito. Then, after seeing the design drawings, I was deeply impressed by its groundbreaking new architectural techniques that broke away from contemporary norms—so I couldn’t wait to visit. It is also a brand-new architectural landmark in Taichung, following the National Taiwan Library.

A total of 150 people have come to Taiwan to thank the Taiwanese people, with booths set up for visitors to explore and learn more.
