Taizi River Scenic Area

Located on the banks of the Taizi River to the east of Liaoyang City, it stretches from Beishaogate Bridge in the north to Manshipipe Bridge in the south, with a total length of 3,260 meters. It connects to the urban area in the west and faces Hedong Village in the east, with an average width of 750 meters from east to west and a total area of 240 hectares. The Taizi River Scenic Area began construction in 1991 and opened to visitors in 1992. While preserving the original vegetation, 4,542 trees of 33 species, 7,412 flowers of 14 species, and 3 hectares of lawn were planted. A 350-square-meter square, 3,400 meters of garden paths, a 40,000-square-meter natural bathing beach, a 60-meter flower trellis, 530 meters of fencing, and 1,855 square meters of paved brick walkways were also built. The area features various pavilion clusters, including single pavilions, grouped pavilions, four-cornered pavilions, hexagonal pavilions, octagonal pavilions, as well as small architectural structures and sculptures. There are also 13 scenic spots such as “Yan Water Resting Rainbow,” the ruins of “Dragon King’s Night Crossing,” and water sightseeing boats, making it a great destination for sightseeing, resting, swimming, and enjoying the cool.
