Mudumu National Park

Mudumu National Park is a national park in the southern African country of Namibia, located in the northeastern Caprivi Region of the country. Covering an area of 1,009 square kilometers, it was established in 1990. The wildlife in the park mainly includes bushbuck, African elephants, buffalo, impala, oryx, roan antelope, plains zebra, hippopotamus, tigerfish, and meerkats.

The Kwando River flows gently along the western edge of Mudumu National Park, providing abundant water sources for the park’s flora and fauna. Along the riverbanks, there are vast floodplains, floating papyrus swamps, and lush riverine forests. In other parts of the park farther from the river, mixed teak woodlands, open grasslands, and typical African savannas are spread out, offering spectacular pristine natural scenery.

Unlike other national parks in Namibia, Mudumu National Park has a private lodge — the Lianshulu Lodge, which mainly provides services such as guided tours, off-road driving, boating, and birdwatching for visitors.
