Swakopmund

Swakopmund (Swakopmund) is a port city on the Atlantic coast of western Namibia, located 280 km west of Windhoek and 33 km north of Walvis Bay. It is the capital of the Erongo Region. Swakopmund was established by the Germans in 1892. In the late 18th and early 19th centuries, Swakopmund was the center of German colonial rule. The entire city was designed and built in the German architectural style, and to this day, its streets still retain German names.

Swakopmund is a renowned coastal resort in Namibia, often referred to as the "Summer Capital." The city is surrounded by pristine beaches and a variety of resorts catering to different budgets. Here, as you slowly descend by parachute, you’ll experience an unprecedented visual and psychological thrill: on one side lies the vast Atlantic Ocean, and on the other, the awe-inspiring sand dunes. After landing, you might want to swing a few golf clubs at the nearby Rossingmund Golf Course—one of the few all-grass courses in the world situated in a desert.
